THE BRANDING OF IDOLS

Spring 2007-08

These pieces are part of a year long, self-authored project, resulting in my BFA thesis exhibition. My work strives to visually explore the nature of religious branding; the way in which religious imagery is used to target a specific audience to appeal to a larger demographic. The work is a deconstruction of the methods used by the church to proliferate certain markets with their message.
